Regarding Ticket Refunds

How will I receive my refund?


Existing ticket purchasers who are unable to attend the 2021 event, can request for a full refund through Ticketmaster (formerly APACTix). Please email enquiry@ticketmaster.sg providing the name and email address used to purchase the tickets. Alternatively, please contact Ticketmaster on +65 3158 8588




What is included in the refund?


The amount for which the ticket was purchased including ticket booking fees will be refunded. Postage or delivery fees will not be refunded.

All refunds are issued in Singapore Dollars (SGD).




Will my current tickets be valid for entry to 2021’s event?


Current tickets held will remain valid for the rescheduled dates in October 2021. All tickets which have been purchased through Sports Hub Tix or Ticketmaster (formerly APACTix) will remain valid for the 2021 event. Please retain your existing tickets for entry to the 2021 event.




What should I do if I only wish to bring forward some and not all of my tickets to 2021?


Please contact Ticketmaster via email to enquiry@ticketmaster.sg providing the name and email address used to purchase the tickets.




I want compensation for my air tickets and accommodation.


Please refer to the cancellation policies of travel, accommodation and other goods or service providers you have made arrangements with. The Singapore Sevens and our authorised sales agent Ticketmaster (formerly APACTix) are not liable for any other losses incurred by you as a result of the rescheduling of the event, including any travel and accommodation expenses.




How soon will I receive my refund?


Refunds are through the original mode of payment and will be automatically credited to the same credit card used for the transaction.

Credit card refunds will be processed within 30 business days after you have contacted Ticketmaster (formerly APACTix) for refunds. Please check your credit card statements for the refund.




Why do the refunds have to be made through the original mode of payment and to the original purchaser?


We can only verify transactions that were made via the original mode of payment. This is also the best way to ensure that the refund is made to the person who originally purchased the tickets.




Who do we contact if we did not receive our credit card refund?

My friend bought the tickets for me. Can I still obtain a refund?


Refunds are given solely to the original buyer. Ticketmaster (formerly APACTix) will contact all original buyers by email. Please contact Ticketmaster at +65 3158 8588 or email: enquiry@ticketmaster.sg for all refund enquiries.




Why is the amount refunded less than what I paid?


All refunds are issued in Singapore Dollars (SGD).

If your purchase was made with a credit card issued outside of Singapore, the amount credited will use the currency exchange rate at the time of the refund. Therefore, the amount credited may differ from the original transaction amount. Your bank may also impose currency conversion fees.

What are the dates for the 2021 event?


The HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens 2021 is scheduled for 29 and 30 October.




When are 2021 tickets going on sale?


Please check out www.singapore7s.com.sg for ticket purchase information for the 2021 edition in the second quarter of 2021*.

Why is the event held on a Friday/Saturday instead of the usual weekend?


For 2021, the event is taking place on Friday/Saturday to give competing players sufficient time (based on established player welfare guidelines) to recover and recuperate for the next leg of the World Sevens Series.




What are the tournament schedules for the new dates?


There will be a later start to tournament game schedule for both days. More information will be released in the second quarter of 2021*.

Who decided to postpone the event dates for the 2021 event?


It was a collective decision and Sport Singapore, together with World Rugby decided that it was in the best interest of the players, fans and stakeholders to postpone the 2021 edition of the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens. We seek your understanding, and we do hope that you can join us for the HSBC Singapore Rugby Sevens in 2021.
